About Matt

 

Matt Baker is a professional musician and portrait photographer. Commissioned work includes headshots, portraits, live concerts, video production and more.

His studio also has a beautiful black grand piano (great for a music video too). Shoots can be outdoors, at a location of your choice, or indoors in the studio space.

Matt himself is a professional jazz pianist, performing in New York and touring abroad, loves coffee, originally from Australia has lived in NYC almost 9 years.

Studio Spec's and Equipment

Huge windows, lots of daylight, high ceilings. Piano can be rolled away. 
Seamless backdrops: Black, White, Grey, Ultramarine Blue.

Photography equipment includes: 26" Rapid box beauty dish, 43" Apollo umbrella + Grid, C-Stand + boom extension, 2x 8’ V-Flats double-sided Black and White, Sand bags, Gels, Various light modifiers, Reflectors, Tethering, Apple boxes, Hair/Makeup/dressing room + more.

Video production: HD 1080p, Continuous lighting - 2x 20" softboxes (daylight or tungsten) 2x 300w tungsten flood lights, Audio recording - Lavalier, Zoom 4 channel & Shotgun mics, Final Cut Pro X editing and post production, color grading and color correction available.
